Day 213~"Keven & Ann"
Today was Keven's birthday and my sister, Ann, (Kev's mom) came to San Antonio to surprise him. Here they are dancing at the Thirsty Horse Saloon.

Day 212~"Camera Shy"
My sister and her youngest son, John-Michael, stayed with us for a couple of weeks and I snapped this picture. He hates his picture taken.

Jenna. Jul 22. Alleluia Conference.
I went to Baylor for a children's choir conference. This is a really big sign.
And, I got to be in a commercial! [Um, for this conference - it will be on the Baylor/Alleluia conference website when it's finished.] The guy behind the camera approached me and asked me to say a few words - so just picture the guy in front of the camera as me, and that's what it would have looked like.

Jenna. Jul 20. Long hair.
I'm noticing how long Kennedy's hair is getting. Don't see her getting a haircut anytime soon, though. :)
Jenna. Jul 18. Houston, we have Germans.
We have the privilege of hosting 2 students from Germany for a few weeks. They are here with a team from their church in Siegberg.
Meet Marina.
And Christine.
My kids have fallen in love with them already.

Day 208~"Unusual Megaphone!"
We went to see Amanda in Jourdanton and watch the Genesis drum corp practice before they head out for Oklahoma later today. She was using this traffic cone as a megaphone so the kids could hear her! :)

Jenna. Jul 15. A clue, a clue!
This pic serves double purpose - one, it is a great sky pic. Two, it is what Kennedy says every time she sees this water tower... If you've ever watched Blue's Clues, you know what I'm talking about. And if you can't see what she's referring to, it's the paw print on the water tower (which is actually a Tiger paw print, not a dog.)
Jenna. Jul 14. "Say biscuit!"
We went to Cracker Barrel for dinner. Colby was completely set on having biscuits. It seemed as if I'd make the biscuit the way I like it and then he'd get upset, so I'd eat it. So at the end of the meal, when he realized all the biscuits were gone, he was Really upset.
The waitress brought us an entire basket of biscuits, just for Colby.

Day 206~"Dave & Busters"
Today was my nephew, Kyle's 24th birthday and we took him to Dave and Busters because he loves to play pool. This is his brother, John-Michael, on the left and my sister, Debbie (his mom) on the right.

Jenna. Jul 12. Flowerbed Frustrations Turned Fruitful.
This was the untouched part of our yard. The weeds in this flowerbed reached at least 3 feet tall.
Before, During, & After pics.
Jenna. Jul 11. Blurry Dancing.
Tonight, for the first time in a long time, I danced with my kids. I mean, really danced.
And it felt good.
Jenna. Jul 10. New Carseat.
Carlee is 20 months old today! Her old (rear-facing) carseat was getting too small. The American Academy of Pediatrics now recommends turning your kids to forward facing when they are 2 years old. (This is a new recommendation, as Colby was forward facing at age 1 and Kennedy at 18 months.)
She is clearly happier to be forward facing.
Jenna. Jul 9. Cracked Windshield.
A rock hit my windshield today. We were driving along a 2-lane road and the cars were coming at 60 mph. The noise was so loud, I screamed.
Kevin groaned. But his groan sounded like a growl. So Kennedy said, "Mommy, why is Daddy a lion?"

It was raining so hard in South East Texas today that you couldn't see five feet in front of the car.
