Day 274~"Chase Broke Down"

Chase's truck broke down at a VERY BAD interchange in downtown San Antonio and I had to pick him up. I took him to his venue in front of the Alamo and started snapping pictures of his truck through my rear view mirror while I waited on the tow truck.

Welp.... there goes the neighborhood. There were a bunch of cars and fences in my alley that were hit. Luckily, it was a cool night and the dew was heavy. The paint didn't fully dry and the nice guys at the carwash did an excellent job of getting my truck back to normal.

We went to a birthday party and the rain made us go indoors. No problem. Indoor playset in the playroom over the garage = AWESOME!!!

Day 265~"Gorgeous Sky"

This is what greeted me outside the door as I started my jog, however, I got rained on during the last mile and a half. I was drenched by the time I got home, but this is when I realized that I could run instead of jog!!! :)

Amanda: Day 245. Say Hello to My Little Friend.

From Amanda's 365 Project

This is my new camera!! I'm really excited about it! My friend upgraded to a SUPER swanky and sold me his old one. I'm really excited about getting to know it and use it properly. Yahoo!

Amanda: Day 244. TBBT.

From Amanda's 365 Project

Meet The Big Bang Theory. Someone left it at the work apartment and I started watching it last weekend. Since I worked late last night, I had most of today off (with the exceptions of a few errands) and I watched all four of these discs today. Yes, all. four. of. them.

Amanda: Day 243. Bay Sunset.

From Amanda's 365 Project

We finished a big deadline for work today, so we rewarded ourselves by going to the beach and enjoying a nice dinner!

Amanda: Day 242. Colors.

One of my favorite sections at HEB. Can you guess what it is?

Amanda: Day 241. Homemade French Toast.

From Amanda's 365 Project

I know it's not the best picture ever, but I was just so dang proud of this...and I was in a hurry to eat it too! I made french toast with no recipe at all. It was so tasty, I might have to do this more often.

Amanda: Day 240. Faded Love.

From Amanda's 365 Project

My friend Chris and I went to South Padre. I thought it was going to be a relaxing day at the beach, but it turned into a photography expedition. We walked down the beach for a couple of hours and this was my favorite shot. It didn't turn out the way it appeared in my head, but it's still my favorite because of the juxtaposition of the young and older couple.

From Amanda's 365 Project

And this one wasn't too shabby either. :D

Amanda: Day 239. Picnic Time.

From Amanda's 365 Project

It's Friday and I have decided not to travel but rather stay in the Valley and relax. I decided to have a picnic in my living room with sushi, wine and The Big Bang Theory. Best Friday night I've had in a while!

Day 264~"Football Face"

Clint would kill me if he knew I posted this, but he had oral surgery and the whole side of his face swelled up and turned colors...

Day 262~"Gangsta?"

Not sure what this symbol means, but I think Clint thinks he's a gangster...

Jenna. Sep 18. "There she is!"

Carlee was so pleased with seeing herself in the mirror with pigtails. Her hair is just now getting long enough to put up. i know, she's cute.

Jenna. Sep 16. Funny sign.

So this pic isn't overly hilarious until you read this - Church Signs.

Jenna. Sep 15. More reading.

After her bath, our little nekkid jaybird escaped from our reaches and this is where we found her. I can't exactly call this reading, but I think she's on to something here.

Jenna. Sep 14. Kim in town.

Kim's back! For 6 weeks anyway. For this rotation of med school, she's studying psychiatry in B/CS. Today she came over to jump on the trampoline but it was brutally hot. So, we made smoothies and watched Cars. Then, we colored with markers. Kennedy colored on paper, and Carlee colored on herself.

Then we went and rescued Kim's car from the service shop where it was being repaired. It was a good day.

Jenna. Sep 13. Reading.

Colby is reading! It's really exciting to hear him read to his little sisters. Of course he's not reading Chaucer proficiently, but Mr. Brown Can Moo, Can You? by Dr. Seuss was the first book he decided to read by himself. There are some others he's started in on, including some leveled readers.

I knew he loved books but I am thrilled that he's learned so much after only 3 weeks in Kindergarten. I won't pretend I had nothing to do with this, but I love that he has a love for books like I do.

Jenna. Sep 12. Let her eat cake.

I just thought our older 2 kids liked sweets... but [Carlee] this one takes the cake. Ha.

Day 261~"Camera Shy"

My nephew, Kyle, is camera shy!

Again.... need the real camera...

Jenna. Sep 11. F-18s.

In honor of the September 11th anniversary, 4 F-18 fighter jets flew over Kyle Field for the Aggie game today. We took the kids to a restaurant parking lot to see the planes fly over, then we jumped in the car and followed them to the airport to watch them land.

Kevin took a great video and posted it on Facebook. These are iPhone pics I took while holding Carlee.

By the way, the kids thought the planes were really cool. So did I.

Jenna. Sep 10. Carlee's curls.

Carlee is 22 months old today. I still can't get a picture of her with my iPhone that isn't blurry. Today we put her hair up in a high ponytail. She looks so much like a little red-headed Cindy Lou Who [from The Grinch who Stole Christmas].

Jenna. Sep 9. First Day of Dance.

Ever since I asked Kennedy if she wanted to take dance lessons, she's been asking when she could go. Today was the first day. I couldn't believe how cute she was in her leotard & tights. Okay, that's a lie, of course I could believe how cute she was. But she did remind me of pictures I've seen of myself when I was 3 and starting dance lessons.

Such a cutie - say cheese!

On my morning dog walk after dropping the girls off at school. Scenes like this almost make me want to carry around all my gear all of the time.

Amanda: Day 238. Strange Things You See in Apartments.

I was working on the crew today going into apartments, trying to help them prepare for one of our deadlines. It's a glimpse into random strangers lives which for the most part is expected. The OCD cleaner. The messy bachelor. The crazy cat lady. But still there are a few things that surprise you.

Holy Water I understand. But a barcode? Interesting.
